Navy Day Ball 1994

 

On October 15, 1994 the U.S.Naval Security Group Activity Augsburg was celebrating the Navy´s 219th Birthday at the Officers Club, Sheridan Kaserne. Commanding Officer K. J. Branch, XO D. G. Potts and Command Senior Chief M. S. Gano did invite, Rear Admiral Thomas F. Stevens was guest speaker. The evening started at 19.00 with the German and the American anthems and a Colors Parade. After a several course dinner, dancing and entertainment took place from 21.30 till midnight.

For decades, the Sheridan Officers Club was a meeting-place for a America and Germany, the military and the public, as well as a scene of festivities. Today, the original appearance of the building is protected by the German Historical Preservation Act.
